Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions.
1) How far is Casa Melissa from the town of San Pancho?
Casa Melissa is about one mile from San Pancho. You can walk to town on the cobblestone streets or down the sandy beach.
2) Does Casa Melissa have beach access?
To get to the mile long San Pancho beach (at the north end) you would need to walk (or drive) 1/4 mile on the dirt road. There will be a path down to the beach which you can then walk the rest of the way into town by heading south on the beach. You can also access a small beach to the north by walking (or driving) 1/2 mile north, just past Bungalows Lydia.
3) Does Casa Melissa have reliable internet?
Yes, In January 2015 Casa Melissa installed Sayulita WIFI internet. Then in March 2022 our phone company, TelMex, brought Fiber Optic to town. It is unlimited and very fast. You can stream music and movies. We maintain both so there is always a back-up.
4) Do you provide a cook?
We have staff members who are available for hire to prepare meals for you. I can help you set that up if you know in advance or you can make arrangements with them while you are at Casa Melissa.
5) Does San Pancho have a grocery store?
San Pancho has some small stores. Our staff can shop for you before you arrive so there are groceries stocked in the house. There is no charge for this service, except $20 USD if you need them to go to Costco. Otherwise, you just pay for the groceries.
6) Do you provide airport pickup?
No we do not, but you can get a taxi at the airport, hire Diva Tours with their Suburban to come from San Pancho to pick you up, or you can rent a car.
7) Can you drink the water at Casa Melissa?
Yes, Casa Melissa has a whole house water purification system. Plus we also provide a 5 gallon purified water dispenser, so bring your refillable bottles!
